Next First Friday

Living Earth’s regular community gatherings have been held on the first Friday of each month for the past three years. We share a vegetarian and vegan potluck dinner, then engage in dialogue with guest presenters or focus on specific current issues and events.

Topics we've explored

Over the past year Living Earth has hosted First Friday discussions on a wide variety of topics including:

  • Economy, community and peace
  • Democracy, Elections and Action
  • The Earth Charter
  • The Politics of Food
  • Alternatives to Empire
  • The War at Home: Attacks on American Civil Liberties
  • Engaged Spirituality
  • Post-election community dialogue: Where do we go from here?
  • Intentional communities: Findhorn
  • Co-housing: local models

Focus topics are announced via email and on this website approximately two weeks prior to each gathering.

Connection, support and appreciation

First Friday is an excellent introduction to the Living Earth community and the work that we do as well as a place to connect find support from caring, active people. Our First Friday gatherings are a great way to become engaged with people working on issues you care about or to find allies to support your own efforts to move your own projects along. Friends, neighbors, families and kids are all welcome at First Friday. A $2–$5 donation is appreciated.
